Overview

Central and state governments run a very large number of schemes that give money to businesses without asking for it back — for manufacturing, technology adoption, exports, employment, women and SC/ST entrepreneurs, and sector-specific programmes. A grant is not a loan and not equity: nothing is repaid and no shareholding is given up.

The difficulty is never the paperwork, it is the matching. Eligibility differs sharply between schemes on turnover, vintage, sector, location, employment and category, and applying to the wrong one costs weeks. Most of the value in this service is in identifying the two or three schemes you actually qualify for out of the dozens you do not.
